THE LATEST VINTAGE OF OUR AWARD WINNING RIESLING
Our 2018 Riesling was awarded 98 points by James Halliday and SOLD OUT in record time. Subsequent vintages followed suit, with Gary Walsh (The Wine Front) commenting on the 2020 that "It's one of the best Rieslings I’ve tasted in quite some time".
One might say we've set the flavour bar quite high... but we're confident that our long awaited 2021 Riesling more than meets the challenge of it's predecessors. It's a unique, vibrant and superbly balanced wine that is racy on the palate and will leave you thirsty for more.
For those who are yet to taste these over the years, a quick heads up that this is not your typical Aussie Riesling. From very old Tasmanian vines (planted in 1974) combined with more recently planted German Riesling clones, it is, instead, a wine where acid and the gentlest kiss of residual sugar dance together in perfect harmony. Winemaker Peter Dredge splits his ferments between stainless steel tanks for freshness and old French oak casks for texture – the balance is striking and delicious.
Drinks well from the get go, but also has the ability to drink well for decades.
